These Days Will End
Teddy Benedict is young, handsome, and wealthy enough that discussing money makes him uncomfortable. Staying in a luxury hotel on the Italian coast, alongside other members of the discrete global elite—a Hollywood couple, a retired racing driver, a Singaporean novelist, an oligarch and his family—his life consists of little more than deciding how to get through the hours from lunch to dinner. But that all changes when two of the hotel guests are murdered. It turns out they ran a popular podcast exposing low crimes in high places, and it seems certain they were investigating one of their fellow guests, providing someone at the Hotel Imperial with both a motive and an opportunity. Teddy has no secrets at all, and would rather not be involved, but as the evidence increasingly points in his direction, he finds himself drawn into answering those two key questions—who were they investigating, and did that person kill them?
